ANGEL FRANCO | Executive Chef
Executive Chef Angel Franco provides the vision for, and indeed epitomizes, Palace’s concept of Modern American. A native of Puerto Rico, Chef Angel trained in New York City and worked in notable restaurants, from North Carolina to France, Spain and Copenhagen. During his time working for the legendary Jose Andres in Washington, DC he had the opportunity to cook for a US president and first lady at the White House. He has brought all that experience to Palace, blending his classical training and natural inventiveness into a truly memorable experience.
AUSTIN FLICK | General Manager
A Santa Fe native, Austin gained unique hospitality experience at some of the city’s favorite restaurants, including 15, Blue Corn Cafe, Railyard and then ten years at La Boca where he ran its wine program. Besides a love of delivering a flawless guest experience, Austin is also passionately interested in sustainability, especially as it relates to food and wine. He joined Palace as a server in 2021, moved up into management, and his commitment to sustainability led to Palace offering some wonderful wines from environmentally conscious vintners around the world.
ASHLEY LYNN: Co-Bar Director
After studying art and architecture in her native southern California, Ashley found her true calling in the world of cocktail building and curation. She honed her mixing craft at some of Santa Barbara’s finest restaurants and bars, including five years at the Good Lion. Ashley’s also had experience as director of training and education, where she was able to impart her belief that an establishment’s loyal following can actually help build community. Ashley came to Santa Fe in 2022, when she joined the Palace team. She’s as energized mixing a perfect classic cocktail as she is creating new ones with co-manager Karli Guerrero.
KARLI GUERRERO: Co-Bar Director
Born in Utah, Karli spent eleven years cultivating her mixologist skills at celebrated Portland, Oregon establishments, among them the whiskey bar North 45, Taylor Railworks, Beast and Expatriate. She relocated to Santa Fe in 2022 and soon after became co-bar manager at Palace, spearheading a fresh juice and cordial program that adds to Palace’s elevated cocktail program. Among her creations are the Jorge il Curioso, La Hacienda, Members Only, Hot Tropics and P. Y. T.
